Exploring Art of Mystical Experiences
Krishnamayi Luisa Marianni is a visual artist whose work has often been inspired by the interplay of different art forms - especially music and poetry. She has exhibited in both Australia and in Italy. A calling to experience the mysticism of India through art and through a desire to be of service to others have led to involvement in humanitarian projects abroad.
Artist Statement
What does being in the present moment, receptive to divine inspiration look like? When creating art becomes a means of spiritual growth, it calls me to reflect on what awareness is.
I have long recognized that when creating art I was taken over by a force bigger than myself. The little "I" that I inhabited, that was fearful, gave way to an expansiveness. I forgot myself in the service of a broader vision of the world, a world where selfishness has no place.
I want to thank Her Holiness Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi for being the instrument of my transformation.
